Beadboard
Beadboard panels started appearing in the 19th-century Victorian
design period. It is widely found in homes with Victorian,
English Country, Cottage, Folk and Queen Anne design influences.
When it was first introduced, it was mostly used in less formal
dwellings such as cottages.
Today it is also found in cottages, as well
as in vacation homes, foyers, hallways, bathrooms, and other
less formal gathering spaces. Below is an example of beadboard
wainscot.
